Judge Kathleen Delaney Gave Jason "Blu" Griffith the maximum sentence of 10 years to life today. Griffith expressed remorse over the whole situation and vowed to fight the conviction, indicating his move to appeal the ruling. "I'm saddened by these events and everyone these events have affected," he told the court. In addressing his mother, who was also in court, Griffith told her his actions were "no reflection on you." "I will fight this every day until I get back to you."
There was no physical evidence that connected Jason Griffith to the dismemberment of the body of Debbie Flores however, there was evidence that connected Louis Cloumbo to the dismemberment. Detective Long, Testified that he was not in agreement with giving Louis Columbo Blanket immunity with out knowing what Louis was going to tell them ahead of time. The letter that was left on the car of Jason Griffith was allegedly said to be written by Louis Columbo as a”Joke”. However, the DA and the attorneys of Mr. Griffith Never questioned Louis Columbo as to why he wrote the letter. Lips stick marks were found on the vehicle and a message saying “I love you”. DA claimed this was written by Columbo. Even Louis Columbo stated in his testimony that the police should have taken the numerous calls from Jason Griffith “seriously”. There were repeated call's to the police department I'm regards to Debbie's Stalking Harassment and emails, However these call's fell on deaf ears even when she broke into his home. His complaints were ignored of passed off as a joke, Debbie was NEVER arrested.
